Fiona works across craft and illustration, exploring ideas through a wide range of materials—from pencil and ink to fabric and felt. Her practice is based in drawing but expands into textured, hands-on processes that value mark-making, softness, and material play. 

​​​Based in Brisbane, Fiona was born in Zimbabwe and has spent years working in the arts industry in South Africa, London and Australia. She has a DVA in visual arts from Griffith University, Brisbane. A former curator, Fiona now divides her time between illustrating and running workshops in schools, libraries and galleries.

Hidden, written by Larissa Ferenchuk, illustrated by Fiona and published by EK Books is available in bookstores in Australia, New Zealand, UK and USA.​
