Thank you for stepping into my world of tactile forms and whimsical illustrations. Whether for a book, editorial illustration, workshop or bespoke project, I welcome meaningful and thoughtful collaborations.
I create handcrafted diorama illustrations in felt, wool and paper, photographing miniature scenes and characters to make warm, narrative-rich images for children’s books, editorial work, and exhibitions.

Based in Brisbane, I was born in Zimbabwe and have spent years working in the arts industry across South Africa, London, and Australia. I hold a DVA in Visual Arts from Griffith University, Brisbane. A former curator, I now divide my time between illustration and running workshops in schools, libraries, and galleries.

One of my earliest memories of material play is being dressed as a seahorse alongside my brother and winning a dress-up competition aboard the Windsor Castle liner, sailing from Cape Town to Southampton to visit family in England in the 1970s.
Hidden, written by Larissa Ferenchuk, illustrated by Fiona and published by EK Books in 2025, is available in bookstores in Australia, New Zealand, UK and USA.​
